Bionatics and Scaleway join forces to help provide digital sovereignty for smart, sustainable, and citizen-oriented territories

Paris, Nov 29th, 2021 – Bionatics, an expert in 3D modeling for territorial resources and related data, and Scaleway, the leading alternative Cloud provider in Europe, are pooling their skills and experience to create a “smart territories” solution that is accessible to all, with a focus on sovereignty and sustainability.

This is no small challenge. It involves making collaborative territorial management easier; offering simple 2D/3D interactive visualization of local resources; ensuring secure and ethical management for many different data sources; and providing open applications and practical participative services for decision-makers, agents, and residents. These aspects all need to be managed with strict respect for territorial digital sovereignty and ethics, and a firm commitment for building a sustainable territory.

Launched at the french Mayors’ Conference (Salon des Maires) starting on November 16, 2021, the Vivr’ici platform (which means “living here” in french) is a sovereign solution that meets all these criteria. As its name implies, Vivr’ici “living here” reminds us how important it is to protect our territories’ assets – including digital resources – as they host many parts of our lives. The solution is developed by Bionatics and hosted on the Scaleway cloud.

Vivr’ici“living here” is based on a combination of three major technical environments: a 2D/3D interactive “smart territory agent that is both powerful and economical; secure management and careful integration of multiple data sources; and a set of modular collaborative and participative tools that are simple and open.
